Enlightenment Day Festival

This important festival celebrates Shakyamuni Buddha’s moment of spiritual awakening as he sat under the Bodhi tree in ancient India. From this Awakening flows out all of the Buddhadharma.

The festival ceremony will be followed by tea and a Dharma talk. This festival will be accessible through Zoom using our usual Sunday link; if you would like to join us via Zoom email us to get the links.

30 minutes of meditation followed by vespers, the last ceremonial of the day. Vespers is the Chanting of The Litany of the Great Compassionate One followed by other short verses.

Transfer Of Merit Ceremony

When we exert ourselves to practice the Dharma we create good consequences or merit; the transfer of merit ceremony is a way for us to devote a particular time and effort to offering that merit for the benefit of specific beings and the world and beings around us.
